Works with any CRM. Supporters declare on your own website, and every declaration lands in your Foundry portal, matched to your records. Download them into your CRM and claim the way you do today.
The Gift Aid platform UK charities have run their claims on for years. Cascade sorts every gift into claimed, ready and repairable, builds the claim and keeps the evidence one click away. No Foundry needed.
Cascade shows who gave without a declaration and what is waiting behind them. Foundry asks exactly those supporters, with a personalised ask, and each yes comes back ready to match in Cascade for your next claim.
⇄Foundry and Cascade
Why Foundry?
Because it’s your process and your declarations: on your website, in your brand, kept in your own Foundry platform. It’s built on HMRC’s model declaration, with the evidence on every one, by a team with 22 years in UK Gift Aid. And with Cascade, it’s one journey: Cascade finds who to ask, Foundry asks them, and every yes goes into your next claim with its proof.
Can I use Foundry without Cascade?
Yes. Foundry runs on its own and works with any CRM. Supporters declare on your own website, and every declaration lands in your Foundry portal, matched to your records. Download them into your CRM and claim the way you do today.
Can I use Cascade without Foundry?
Yes. Cascade is a complete Gift Aid platform on its own, and it's available today. It sorts every gift into claimed, ready and repairable, builds the claim, and keeps the evidence one click away when HMRC asks. UK charities have run their claims on it for years.
What do I get if I use both?
Cascade shows exactly which supporters gave without a declaration and what Gift Aid is waiting behind them, and it ranks them by how recently, how often and how much they gave, so you ask your active and warm supporters first. Foundry asks just those supporters, with a personalised ask, and each new declaration comes back ready to match in Cascade for your next claim.
Where should we start?
If you want to claim more now, start with Cascade: it's available today. If your gap is missing declarations, beta test Foundry now. Add the other whenever you're ready.
Foundry
When can we start?
With Cascade, today: it's available now, and it starts with a conversation, so talk to us. Foundry launches in November 2026. Beta test it now. Free forever: 100 credits every month to ask your supporters for Gift Aid, and watch your Gift Aid grow. Every declaration a supporter makes is always captured and kept safe. Want to start sooner? Choose to beta test it now and we'll set you up with us.
Which Foundry products are available?
We launch with Foundry Solus, Foundry Flow and Foundry Vault. Foundry Text and Foundry Voice are coming soon.
Does a supporter need an app or a login?
No. They use the QR code or personal code from their letter or email and answer a few short screens on your own website, on any phone or computer. Nothing to post back.
What does our web team have to do?
Very little: they add Foundry to one page of your website, once, and Flow adds the Gift Aid question to your donation and event forms. Forward them our page for your tech team. At launch: a small “enter your code” box you can put on any other page, so a supporter can start from wherever they land.
Why do new declarations wait 30 days?
It’s Foundry’s own promise to supporters, not an HMRC rule: under HMRC’s rules a web declaration can be claimed straight away. We wait 30 days so a supporter who changes their mind never has Gift Aid claimed in their name, and you never have to unpick a claim. After that, the declaration moves to Ready to claim, with its “claimable from” date shown. Using Foundry to cover older gifts? Each new declaration moves to Ready to claim on the 31st day after its confirmation is sent, or after it is made if there’s no confirmation to send. So leave time for replies, plus those 31 days, before your claim deadline for the oldest gifts you want to cover.
What if a supporter has moved, or their postcode doesn’t match?
They can still say yes. If the postcode they type doesn’t match the address you hold, nothing about them is shown, and they simply fill in their details and make a fresh declaration. If they tell us they’ve moved, they give their new address. Either way the declaration lands on its own list in your portal, New address to confirm or To match, so you check it against your records before it goes in a claim.
What if they’ve lost the letter or the code?
They don’t need it. On your Gift Aid page they can fill in their details and declare, and the answer comes to you on the To match list.
What do we need to send letters, or emails?
For letters, your usual mailing file: names and full postal addresses, the same file you send your mailing house. For emails, a name and an email address for supporters who have agreed to hear from you by email.
What if our file has gaps, like a missing address?
Foundry checks your file before anything is saved. It shows how your columns were read, how many letters or emails it would make, and who it would hold back and why, so you can fix them or leave them out. Nothing is stored until you say so.
Do you remove people we shouldn’t write to?
Before you save, you confirm you’ve removed supporters who’ve asked not to be contacted, including Fundraising Preference Service requests, those who have died and those who have moved away with no new address. Your list, your call.
What about verbal declarations?
Every verbal declaration needs a recording of it kept, or a written record sent. Once a written record is sent, the supporter can cancel within 30 days. Foundry Voice, coming soon, is built for exactly that.
What about the declarations we already hold?
Foundry Vault takes the web declarations you already hold and keeps them in one place, each with the original record of how it was made. Verbal declarations come with Foundry Voice.
What if a supporter doesn't pay UK tax?
They can say so in one tap, and their gifts stay out of your claim. Gift Aid only applies when a supporter pays enough UK tax.
What happens to the other things supporters tell us?
With the Whitemail add-on to Foundry, after they answer the Gift Aid question, supporters can tell you they've moved, changed their name, no longer pay enough UK tax, want to hear from you less, or simply ask a question. You choose which of these to offer, plus a box for anything else. Every reply carries a flag in your results, grouped by type with the numbers, ready for your CRM.
◉Your data
Who owns the declarations?
You do. Every declaration Foundry collects belongs to your charity, always.
Which CRMs do you work with?
Foundry works with any CRM: download your declarations as a file, or use our API to send your declarations wherever you need them, automatically. Cascade already works with Salesforce, Blackbaud, Microsoft Dynamics, Donorfy, Access, Advanced, SugarCRM and spreadsheets. System not listed? Talk to us: our team has worked with charity fundraising data for 22 years.
What evidence do we have if HMRC asks?
Every declaration carries its own evidence record. With Cascade, that evidence sits one click from the claim it supports.
♥About us
Who are you?
Our founders have worked with Gift Aid since 2004: they founded ScanStore, sold to Blackbaud in 2005, and built Cascade, the Gift Aid platform. Giftease was set up in 2019. Foundry is how your supporters declare.
How much does it cost?
Free forever: 100 credits every month to ask your supporters for Gift Aid, and watch your Gift Aid grow. Every declaration a supporter makes is always captured and kept safe. Above that, and for Cascade, it depends on your charity and which products you use: talk to us and we’ll walk you through it.
Ask us anything. We reply within one working day.
