Had an email about Gift Aid from a charity, via Giftease?
Giftease helps UK charities ask their supporters about Gift Aid. If you've had an email from a charity's name followed by "via Giftease", it was sent by us on that charity's behalf, because you've given to them.
Why the charity uses us
Gift Aid lets a charity claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every eligible £1 a UK taxpayer gives, at no cost to the supporter. Charities use Giftease to ask for and record Gift Aid declarations correctly.
How to check it's genuine
- Look on the charity's own website. Charities that send through our address name Giftease as their Gift Aid partner there. If you can't find it, contact the charity directly, using contact details from its own website, not from the email.
- We'll only ask for what a Gift Aid declaration needs: your name, your home address and your yes. We never ask for bank details, card numbers or passwords.
- The link in the email opens a page with the charity's name on it, at foundry.gift-ease.co.uk or at the charity's own web address.
Don't want these emails?
Use the "stop" link in the email, or reply to it: replies go to the charity. Stopping makes no difference to any gift you've made.
Your data
The charity decides how your details are used, and we handle them on its behalf, so the charity's own privacy notice is the one that applies to you.
