About Giftease

Giftease Solutions makes Cascade — one Gift Aid management system for UK charities. Who we are, and why we rebuilt it rather than patched it.

Where we are heading

Built for the claim you file this month, and for what comes after it

Cascade 2.0 was not a redesign. We rebuilt what sits underneath — one donor record, one donation record, one governed model of your data — because everything we want to do next is impossible on top of five sets of numbers that disagree.

Explore Cascade 2.0

One model underneath every product

Every part of Cascade reads the same governed model: one definition of a supporter, one of a gift, one of Gift Aid eligibility. It is invisible on a screenshot and it is the reason the number on your dashboard, the number in your board pack and the number Harmony gives you agree. They did not always, and that was our problem to fix, not yours.

Ready for what comes next

Clean, connected, governed data is the entry fee for anything intelligent. Harmony already answers a question in plain English and shows the working behind the answer. Scoring which lapsed declarations are worth chasing first is on the roadmap — and the foundation it needs is already built and running.

  • Built by people who have worked inside charity fundraising, supporter care and data teams
  • Gift Aid specialists since the scheme began — not a sector we diversified into
  • Our own software, so your eligibility rules are a setting you own rather than our release cycle
  • One system for the whole claim: the donation you already hold, through to the receipt HMRC sends back

Where it came from

Twenty years on real, messy data

Giftease Solutions has spent more than twenty years building CRM and operational-data systems for UK charities — Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Dynamics 365, ThankQ, Donorflex and others. Not clean demo data: real supporter records, real fiscal calendars, real compliance logic, and the fifteen years of history nobody wants to migrate.

That is where Cascade came from. Not a product built for a market, but the system we needed and could not buy — and the reason it is built around how Gift Aid work is actually done rather than how a specification says it should be.

The same work produced something bigger. Frametric, and the Frame technology behind Harmony, is a spin-out of Giftease — the engine we built to make the hardest data in the sector answerable, now running under Cascade 2.0.

What we believe

Claims you can check

We do not label anything live that is not

If something is in build, this site says so. Every claim here is one we can show you on your own data — that is the whole point of an audit trail.

Deterministic where it counts

There is no AI anywhere in the drill path. A figure cannot be invented, and every chart carries a receipt showing exactly which records produced it.

Charity people, not a generalist vendor

Between us we have worked in fundraising departments, supporter care teams and charity data teams. We have filed the claim, chased the declaration and answered the auditor.

The founder

Kevin Robson

Giftease is led by Kevin Robson, who has spent over twenty years building CRM and operational-data systems in the UK charity sector. He founded and sold Scanstore to Blackbaud in 2005, then went back to product and data work — focused on the gap between what a report shows you and the decision you actually have to make.

Cascade 2.0 is the result of that focus: a system that does one job, on data that never looks like a clean demo.

Working with you

We build this with charities, not at them

Almost everything significant in Cascade 2.0 started as something a charity team told us was slow, risky or impossible — the exclusions they kept re-explaining, the claim nobody could reconstruct a year later, the report that disagreed with the dashboard.

Tell us what yours is. If Cascade is not the answer we will say so.
