About Giftease
Charity people who built the system they could not buy
Giftease Solutions makes Cascade — one Gift Aid management system for UK charities. Who we are, and why we rebuilt it rather than patched it.
Where it came from
Giftease Solutions has spent more than twenty years building CRM and operational-data systems for UK charities — Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, Dynamics 365, ThankQ, Donorflex and others. Not clean demo data: real supporter records, real fiscal calendars, real compliance logic, and the fifteen years of history nobody wants to migrate.
That is where Cascade came from. Not a product built for a market, but the system we needed and could not buy — and the reason it is built around how Gift Aid work is actually done rather than how a specification says it should be.
The same work produced something bigger. Frametric, and the Frame technology behind Harmony, is a spin-out of Giftease — the engine we built to make the hardest data in the sector answerable, now running under Cascade 2.0.
The founder
Giftease is led by Kevin Robson, who has spent over twenty years building CRM and operational-data systems in the UK charity sector. He founded and sold Scanstore to Blackbaud in 2005, then went back to product and data work — focused on the gap between what a report shows you and the decision you actually have to make.
Cascade 2.0 is the result of that focus: a system that does one job, on data that never looks like a clean demo.
Almost everything significant in Cascade 2.0 started as something a charity team told us was slow, risky or impossible — the exclusions they kept re-explaining, the claim nobody could reconstruct a year later, the report that disagreed with the dashboard.
Tell us what yours is. If Cascade is not the answer we will say so.
